Properties
SLES (Sodium Laureth Sulfate) is an anionic surfactant produced by ethoxylation, sulfation, and neutralization of lauryl alcohol. It offers excellent detergency, emulsification, and foaming properties, with lower irritation compared to its precursor, sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS). It is widely used in personal care products (shampoos, body washes, facial cleansers), household cleaners (dishwashing liquids, laundry detergents), and industrial cleaning agents.
