HEC

Chemical Name:Hydroxyethyl Cellulose

CAS No.:9004-62-0

Product Details

Product Description

HEC consists of two parts: one is cellulose, and the other is hydroxyethyl branched chain. Hydroxyethyl cellulose is made by first reacting purified cellulose with sodium hydroxide to generate alkaline cellulose colloid, and then adding ethylene oxide to the colloid. The substitution value of HEC is between 1.5 and 2.5. It is easily soluble in hot water and cold water, provides a solution with broad viscosity, and can accept the electrolyte concentration in the solution.
